Just got MYST III today
I just got Myst III and installed in on my system (Win98, 1.2GHz, 256MB, Radeon 32MB DDR). At the beginning of the game, you are given the option to use the Direct 3D or software renderer. If I choose Direct 3D the videos play fine, but in the game itself, as I look around in the 360 degree environment,

It seems this means that Myst III will have two modes. One is low-graphics (maybe like Riven??) and that will work on the system described above. Myst III Exile- Sound problems and more
I tried to install Myst III both in typical mode and full mode on my Windows 2K computer. When I click the Myst III icon, I get a splash screen for a few seconds and then the splash screen goes away, and nothing happens. Does anyone have any ideas? My computer consists of a Pentium III 1ghz, 256mb.

Nevertheless: when I just increased the memory allocation for Myst III, it still didn't work correctly. When I then increased the memory allocation for Quicktime, Myst III started working correctly. I'm just reporting what happened. There's no causal link? Fine, there's no causal link.
